About The Show

Improv Tonight! is a fast, funny, and completely unscripted monthly comedy show featuring different improv teams every Friday and Saturday night. Each team performs two shows—one at 8:00 PM and one at 10:00 PM—and no two shows are ever the same.

8 PM: Waynesville’s premier improv troupe, Parking Space, is ready to put comedy in drive and turn your suggestions into big laughs! Using high-energy, short-form improv games, this crew turns audience ideas into nonstop laughs—no script, no brakes. Each show is a joyride of short-form improv games featuring one brave host attempting to maintain order and a rotating lineup of quick-witted improvisers gleefully ignoring it. The troupe itself is made up of friends who found each other through their shared love of improv and questionable life choices. Founded in June 2025 in Waynesville, NC, Parking Space Improv proves that sometimes the best comedy really does come out of nowhere—just like a great parking spot.

10 PM: Improv Sports! Two short form improv teams, Parking Space from Waynesville and Whimsical Groundhogs from Asheville compete in the premier theatre games showdown of theatre sports. Think a fast-paced improv game show style competition with a variety Whose Line Is It Anyway style games in 3 rounds. You as the audience will help decide who wins by your applause and scoring on a rating scale. Games include guessing games, scenic games, word games and all plays. Enjoy a night of improv, fun, and hilarity!
Whimsical Groundhogs is a short form Asheville improv comedy troupe. We perform improv games in the style of Whose Line is It Anyway? What do you get when you combine a mushroom enthusiast, a puppet expert, an amateur detective, a professional pizza eater, and an aspiring wizard?
