We are hiring teachers, teachers’ assistants/stage managers, and junior camp assistants for our Tanglewood Summer Camp program, which consists of Youth Summer Camp for ages 5-13 and Advanced Camp for ages 13-18.
Dates for Youth Summer Camp 2022:
Youth Camp 1: June 20-24
Youth Camp 2: July 18-22
Youth Camp 3: July 25-29
Note: Due to Covid-19 Safety precautions, each age group will be limited to 20 or fewer students per group per week for a total of up to 60 full day students and 20 half day students per week of camp.
Dates for Advanced Camp 2022:
Advanced Camp 1: June 13-17
Advanced Camp – Audition Workshop Camp: July 11-15
Advanced Camp 2: Aug 1-5
Teachers
Youth Summer Camp Teachers
Age requirement: Teachers should be 21 or older.
Salary: $17.70/hr
Youth Summer Camp Teacher Duties: Each Youth Camp Teacher will lead 4 different age groups in a core Theatre topic each day including one or more of the following: Acting, Scene Work, Dancing, Scenic Design, Puppetry, Mask Work, Physical Comedy, Pantomime, etc. If you are interested in teaching something not listed, you are welcome to share your desired specialty on the application form. There will be one pre-camp meeting all are expected to attend in May before Camp begins.
Schedule for Youth Summer Camp Teachers: Must be available 9:15am-3:20pm Monday-Friday of the camp week. Youth Camp Teachers will be paid for teaching/preparing for class/supervising 4 different age groups (5-13 yrs old) of campers for up to 6 hrs/day between the hours of 9:20am-3:15pm Monday-Friday of each Camp week.

Advanced Camp Teachers
Age requirement: Teachers should be 21 or older.
Salary: $17.70/hr
We are seeking 3 Directors and 1 Music Director.
Advanced Camp Teacher Duties: will work with 2 groups of up to 15 students each for a total of 30 students per week. Directors for session 1 and 2 will direct a split cast production of a play for sharing with other campers at the end of the 1 week session. There will be one pre-camp meeting all are expected to attend in May before Camp begins.
Schedule for Advanced Camp Teachers: Must be available approximately 9:20am-4:20pm Monday-Friday of the camp week.
Teacher Assistant/Stage Manager
Youth Camp Teacher Assistant (TA)
Age requirement: Youth Camp Teacher Assistants should be 16 or older.
Salary: $10/hr (Note: Time worked over 40 hours per week will be paid at a rate of time and a half or $15/hr)
6 Full Time TAs and 2 Part Time TAs will be hired for each Youth Camp Session
Youth Camp Teacher Assistant Duties: TAs will supervise one age group during the week and assist teachers in class, help supervise students on breaks, co-lead and play theatre games and warm ups, ensure spaces are clean before and after camp, fill out incident reports, and ensure all campers are safely following Covid-19 safety precautions. There will be one pre-camp meeting all are expected to attend in May before Camp begins.
Schedule for Full Time Youth Camp Teacher Assistants: Must be available 8:00am-5:30pm Monday-Friday of the camp week.
Schedule for Part Time Youth Camp Teacher Assistants: Must be available from 8:00am-1:30pm Monday-Friday of the camp week.
Advanced Camp Teacher Assistant (TA)
Age requirement: Advanced Camp Teacher Assistants should be 18 or older.
Salary: $10/hr (Note: Time worked over 40 hours per week will be paid at a rate of time and a half or $15/hr)

Advanced Camp Stage Managers
Age requirement: Advanced Camp Stage Managers should be 18 or older.
Salary: $12/hr (Note: Time worked over 40 hours per week will be paid at a rate of time and a half or $15/hr)
Advanced Camp Stage Manager Job Duties: Stage Managers will take blocking and staging notes for their cast and lead rehearsals when students are not working with Director. Stage Managers will supervise students, honor scheduled breaks and rehearsal schedule, ensure spaces are clean before and after camp, and ensure safety precautions are followed by all. There will be one pre-camp meeting all are expected to attend in May before Camp begins.
Schedule for Advanced Camp Stage Managers: Must be available 8:00am-5:30pm Monday-Friday of the camp week.
Junior Camp Assistant
Age requirement: Junior Camp Assistants should be 14 or older.
Salary: Junior Camp Assistants will receive a travel/food reimbursement of $80/week
Junior Camp Assistant Duties: Assist TAs, Teachers, and Camp Director in all aspects of ensuring camp runs smoothly. This may include but is not limited to assisting Teachers and TAs at break time and in class, assisting in preparing supplies for class, ensuring spaces are clean before and after activities, co-leading and playing theatre games and warm ups with campers, filling out incident reports, and ensuring all campers are safely following camp rules and Covid-19 safety precautions. There will be one pre-camp meeting all are expected to attend in May before Camp begins.
Schedule for Junior Camp Assistants: Must be available 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Friday of the camp week.
