There are many ways to get involved at ACT. You can audition for shows, enroll in classes, or volunteer behind the scenes! We have opportunities available in the costume shop, front of house, scenic shop, box office and more.

There’s a place for everyone at Asheville Community Theatre.

Volunteer:

ACT is a volunteer-driven theatre where everyone is welcome. We are always looking for folks to usher, paint sets, assist with costumes, decorate the lobby, help us clean, and more. If you’re enthusiastic about learning a new skill, sharing your talents, or being in community, we’d love to have you join us! Please fill out the Volunteer Interest Form, and look forward to hearing from us soon.

We have three volunteer email lists. You can choose one, two, or all three to receive:

  • Volunteer Emails – Select this if you’re interested in volunteer opportunities like set painting, costume assistance, lobby decorating, cleaning days, outreach events, and more.
  • Usher Newsletter – Select this if you’re interested in ushering at a show. This newsletter goes out every other week with information about upcoming performances.
  • Audition Information – Select this if you want to be sent information about upcoming ACT auditions.
