Purchasing Tickets

I have a child under the age of 3. Do I need to buy a ticket for them?

Children ages 3 and under do not need a ticket. Children without tickets are required to sit in the lap of an accompanying adult.

What are the fees added onto my order?

The convenience fee is added to any purchases done over the phone or online. This fee can be avoided if you come in person to the Box Office. The facility fee is applied to all tickets and cannot be waived if purchased in person. Sales tax is applied to all ticket purchases besides our classes.

Can I have a refund?

All sales are final and no refunds are permitted.

How do I exchange my tickets to a different date?

If approved by the Box Office staff, an exchange can happen for the same show for another performance date. We cannot exchange your tickets for another show. All exchanges will include a $1 per ticket exchange fee.

The show is sold out. Is there a way for me to still see the show?

There may be limited tickets available at the Box Office for sold out performances. Please call the Box Office at (828) 254-1320 to get more information on the day of the performance.

What are some ways I can see the show at a reduced cost?

    • Go Local – We offer a discount of $5 off per adult ticket for all Mainstage performances to Go Local card holders. You can redeem this by purchasing your tickets in person or over the phone. If you purchase your tickets over the phone, you must bring your Go Local card to the box office on the day of your performance. This cannot be combined with other discounts.
    • Student Discount – We have a discounted student rate of $20 per adult ticket for all Mainstage performances. You can redeem this by purchasing your tickets in person or over the phone. If you purchase your tickets over the phone, you must bring a Student ID (or something else proving you are a student) to the box office on the day of your performance. This cannot be combined with other discounts.
    • Rush Tickets – Beginning thirty minutes before each Mainstage show, a select number of tickets will be available to purchase at a discounted rate of $20. These must be purchased in person at the box office, and must be requested by name. We cannot guarantee if or how many rush tickets will be available in advance.
    • Zoom Pass – Reserve a Zoom pass through your local Buncombe County library. A Zoom pass gives you two complimentary tickets.
    • PWYC (Pay What You Can) – Select performances of each Mainstage show are PWYC. We welcome all members of our community to join us at a price level that works for them. When you select your tickets, please choose a ticket price that works for you between zero dollars (plus a credit card processing fee) and the full ticket price.
