Volunteer:
ACT is a volunteer-driven theatre where everyone is welcome. We are always looking for folks to usher, paint sets, assist with costumes, decorate the lobby, help us clean, and more. If you’re enthusiastic about learning a new skill, sharing your talents, or being in community, we’d love to have you join us! We have three volunteer email lists. You can choose one, two, or all three to receive:
- Volunteer Emails – Select this if you’re interested in volunteer opportunities like set painting, costume assistance, lobby decorating, cleaning days, outreach events, and more.
- Usher Newsletter – Select this if you’re interested in ushering at a show. This newsletter goes out every other week with information about upcoming performances.

Creative Team Opportunities:
Choreographer & Assistant Choreographer for In The Heights
We are seeking a Choreographer and an Assistant Choreographer to join our creative team for our upcoming production of Lin Manuel Miranda’s In the Heights. In alignment with the cultural roots of this show, we strongly encourage people of color, especially Latinx artists, to reach out.
If you’re passionate about storytelling through movement and collaborative creative work, we’d love to connect. If you’re excited to create alongside fellow community members and local artists, and to help share a timely, joyful, and important story with our community, this is the place for you.
These creative team positions include a small stipend – $1000 for the Choreographer and $500 for the Assistant Choreographer.

Time Commitment:
- Auditions: Monday & Tuesday, March 30 & 31, 2026
- Callbacks: Friday, April 3, 2026
- Rehearsals: Sunday, April 12, 2026 through Thursday, June 11, 2026
- Sunday through Thursday evenings, generally 7pm-10pm
- Performance Dates: June 12-28, 2026: Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30 PM, Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 PM (not required to attend all performances)

Jobs:
Development Director | $75,000+
The Development Director is a key senior staff member of the theatre, responsible for designing, managing, and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies that support the organization’s artistic programming, community outreach, and operational sustainability. This role will work closely with the executive leadership, staff, board of directors, and volunteers to grow contributed revenue through individual giving, corporate sponsorships, grants, special events, and planned giving.
Salary is $75,000 annually, plus performance-based incentives (bonus structure to be developed collaboratively with hired candidate)

Tanglewood Summer Staff
We are looking for energetic, talented, kind instructors (ages 18+) to teach this summer, and we hope you’ll be one of them! Thank you for your interest in joining the Tanglewood Summer Staff!
Additionally, we are looking for high school students ages 14-17 to volunteer with our Summer Stages camps. If you are interested in being one of these volunteers, please fill out the application, and note that you are looking to be a volunteer in the final question. Thank you!
