Live Taping of The Asheville View at ACT
You’re invited to attend a live taping of the groundbreaking Asheville talk show, The Asheville View. Hosted by Aisha Adams, Kirby Winner, Myriam Weber, Tina White, and Kahlani Jackson, The Asheville View hosts are known for their edgy content, style, and witty banter as they share the grit of all things diversity, equity, and inclusion in true Asheville Style. The Asheville View is produced by Aisha Adams Media. The show will tape at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 28, 2022 on the Mainstage at Asheville Community Theatre, located at 35 East Walnut St. in downtown Asheville. Tickets are free, but should be reserved in advance. Tickets are available online, over the phone at 828-254-1320, or in person at the Asheville Community Theatre Box Office.
The Asheville View is a daytime-style talk web series that serves as a morning cup of coffee for equity advocates across the South. Currently in their fourth season, the show has featured interviews with government officials, medical professionals, media personalities, business owners, and artists, among others.
“Our guests are always such interesting people,” said Aisha Adams, the Executive Producer and host of The Asheville View. “The live taping on May 28 will feature guests from the entertainment world, local politicians, and more. We’re excited to announce the list of names as we get closer to the taping date.”
Local vendors and organizations will be in the lobby during intermission for The Asheville View – LIVE. Sponsors for the event are GrindFest, Equity Over Everything, Asheville Pro Lash, and Blue Ridge Pride.
GrindFest, one of the sponsors for the live taping of The Asheville View, is a free, 4-day event that celebrates the success of Black entrepreneurs and business owners in Asheville. GrindFest 2022 will occur May 27-30, 2022 with a variety of events and activities, including a marketplace, dance party, food trucks, and more.
“We will be sharing information about GrindFest during our show, and will be supporting the festival throughout the weekend,” said Adams.
“The Asheville View is a great way to stay current and get insight on what’s going on in and around Asheville,” said Tamara Sparacino, Managing Director of Asheville Community Theatre. “We’re thrilled to partner with the show for this live taping on our Mainstage.”
