We are thrilled to announce that Asheville Community Theatre, in collaboration with On Stage Collective, is hosting auditions for an extraordinary opportunity to perform in New York City! This event, brought to you by our dedicated ACT Education Department, is designed to offer talented performers an immersive experience in the heart of NYC. Don’t miss your chance to be part of a high-caliber, professional-quality show at one of New York City’s premiere cabaret venues, The Green Room 42!
Auditions will be held on October 5, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, right here at Asheville Community Theatre. All auditioners are invited to participate in a free Master Class at 5:00 PM.
Participants selected from these auditions will have the opportunity to work alongside a professional theatrical staff and a cast of talented artists from across the country. This program promises to enhance your confidence through real-world performing experiences, allowing you to rehearse like the Broadway professionals in a studio environment and perform in front of live audiences. In addition to the thrill of performing, participants will receive professionally recorded video footage of their performances and have the chance to engage in interactive master classes with Broadway guest artists.
Auditioning is free, and all interested performers aged 13 and up are welcome to apply. To prepare, please bring digital copies of your headshot and resume, and be ready with two 1-minute song cuts that showcase your vocal versatility and dramatic strengths. Audition spots are limited, so we encourage early sign-ups to secure your place. For those unable to attend the live audition, online submissions will be accepted until October 1, 2024.
