Thursday and Friday performances are held at Asheville Community Theatre; Sunday performances are held at the Reuter Center on the campus of UNCA. 

The Heiress is presented as readers theatre by The Autumn Players.

Suggested by Henry James’ novel Washington Square, The Heiress is a provocative period drama following Catherine Sloper, a wealthy woman who is plain-looking and socially inept woman who is courted by a handsome and charming but penniless suitor. Catherine’s father immediately suspects the man is only interested in Catherine’s inheritance, and vows to write her out of his will if she marries the suitor.
