One man calls another "an ass" several times.

A pretend abduction is staged; the audience knows that it is not a real abduction but the two lovers do not know. It may be a stretch to define this as violence.

"The Rape of the Sabine Women" is referenced. This is a reference to an incident in Roman mythology and may be worth a read on Wikipedia or elsewhere as to the origins of that word as a description of that incident. The usage of the word "rape" in this regard is meant as "abduction" or "kidnapping" rather than as a sexual assault.
